Romantic Sunsphere Proposal

World’s Fair Park, Knoxville Proposal

I am excited to share this romantic Sunsphere proposal with everyone.  I absolutely love proposals and this one is one of my favorite engagement couples I have worked with here in Tennessee.  The spontaneity and forethought put into them is so much fun to orchestrate.  Rik contacted me to put together his plan to propose to Penny.  Rik and Penny have been dating for nearly five years.  World’s Fair Park Sunsphere has a special place in their heart and he wanted this location to be the backdrop for popping the big question.  Rik and I met the day before the proposal.  We scouted the area in search of the perfect location to capture the Sunsphere.  The planning turned out fantastic and Penny did not have any idea what was going on.

This day marked their five year anniversary and also coincided with a University of Tennessee football game.  We had to navigate the traffic, both vehicular and pedestrian to pull this off before we lost the sunlight, but we were able to make it work.  It all turned out perfect and more importantly, Penny said, “yes.”  We took the opportunity after the big question to take about 10 minutes to take a few photos at the park, here is a look at their photo session.
