Intimate Mead’s Quarry Elopement

This is this Intimate Mead’s Quarry Elopement with Anne and Ben. Anne and Ben selected the Mead’s Quarry, which is part of the Ijams Nature Center as their backdrop. We scheduled the session just before sunset and took advantage of some very nice warm light. The first spot we found was just off the side of the parking lot area for the first part of the session. We continued the session by exploring some other areas along the water and decommissioned railroad tracks. Anne and Ben were an adventurous couple that were super easy and fun to work with. Here is a first look at their elopement session.

Ijams Nature Center – Mead’s Quarry

Mead’s Quarry Park offers a glimpse into East Tennessee’s quarrying past that provided pink marble used in local and national buildings and monuments such as the National Gallery of Art. The features include a series of rugged multi-use trails for hikers and bikers encompass scenic overlooks and gorges, historic cemeteries, rock bridges, and mature woodland and include Interpretive Plaza, a lake observation deck , the Historic Stanton Cemetery and 1.5 miles of multi-use trails.
